A YELLOW weather warning for rain covering most of Shropshire on Thursday afternoon has been confirmed by the Met Office.
The yellow warning was issued on Thursday morning for heavy rain and covers all of Shropshire, as well as mid and north Wales, and is set to start at 1pm until 11pm.
It comes after much of the county suffered heavy flooding because of rains following hot weather and thunderstorms on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Met Office urged people to be careful during the heavy rain.
They said: “There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
“There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
“Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
“Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
“There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads.
“There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.”
