AN ABANDONED car on the A5 Gobowen roundabout was the result of a road traffic collision, police have confirmed.
Commuters along the busy road were met with the sight of a car wrapped in police cordon tape on the northbound carriageway, where it had crashed into a traffic sign.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said that no-one was arrested for the incident and no-one was injured.

“At around 10:45pm on Wednesday, April 24, we received a call involving a single vehicle collision,” they said.
“No one was injured and no has been arrested.”
The car remained unremoved up to 1.30pm on Thursday.
