The finals of both the Oswestry Handicap Knock-Out and Consolation competitions took place this week and it was good news for Knockin Table Tennis Club.

The final of the D Roberts Senior Handicap Knock Out Shield pitched first division runners up, Kinnerley Knights against Morda Pumas of division two.

It was a daunting task for the Pumas and they were a little short of form on the night against tough opponents.

The Knights kept their composure and, in the end, ran out winners by 40 points.

In the Consolation Handicap, Kinnerley Cavaliers will have their names engraved on the Hardwick Cup after beating Wynnstay Llansilin.

In an outstanding team performance, they dug in to take excellent points, managing to get to double figures in 14 of the 36 sets.
