A farmer’s field could be given over for dog walking under plans submitted to Shropshire Council.
The plans are for a field east of The Hollies off Middleton Road, and a pre-application was submitted last year which received initial support.
According to a planning and access statement, the site forms a small part of Middleton Farm and is around nine acres.
It added: “The proposal is to enclose the land area referred to, to provide a safe environment for off-lead dog walking and exercise.
“The site will be enclosed by a 1.9m high post and wire fence with secure access at the northwest corner.
“The existing field access will be improved.
“A timber farm gate and posts will be set back from the road edge and will open on to a parking area, which will be separated from the waiting area to ensure that there is no cross over of users’ dog.
“A separate secure gate will give access onto the compound from the parking area.”
