A WREXHAM-based club for those with green fingers, has plenty planned for 2024.
The 38th year of Chirk Gardeners' Club has started well with 56 members and visitors too.
Chair of the group, Dawn Gough, said: "The club is really inclusive and welcomes both experienced and novice gardeners or even those with no gardens at all."
The club meets on the last Monday of the month in the Parish Hall in Chirk at 7.15pm and has a very interesting line-up of speakers and events for 2024. The cost is £12 per year or £3 per visit, which includes refreshments.

The group had a really interesting talk given by Sarah Griffiths on The Ancient Egyptians: The World's First Gardeners.
Sarah, an Egyptologist who worked for the BBC, explained how the walled gardens of the ancient Egyptian elite were the earliest known domestic gardens in the world. She took the group on a journey back in time through the painted scenes found in Egyptian tombs to visit these beautiful landscapes and to discover the plants and features that made up a typical Egyptian Garden.

Dawn added: "We have never had a talk like this and our members found it most interesting."
Their next talk will be on Monday, April 29, when Darren Rudge will be presenting Tea Bags, Bras and Tights, featuring top tips about using household items to make gardening more cost effective. Darren who is known as the 'laughing gardener' is a BBC radio presenter and broadcaster, as well as a garden writer and designer.
He has designed and made gardens for RHS shows and is a gold medal winner. His talk will cover ways we can use household items to make gardening more cost effective.
