MORDA United’s inconsistent Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League season continued with a 2-1 defeat at home to lowly Shifnal Town 1964 on Saturday.
Logan Richards struck for the hosts goals from Toby Lombard and Harry Nesbit earned the visitors the spoils.
Morda United boss Mike O’Reilly was determined the Weston Pools Park club’s season did not peter out.

He said: “We are not giving up many chances but we are being punished for the ones we do.
“We are not doing enough going forward and that needs to change so the season doesn’t fizzle and that’s on me to sort out.”

Weston Rhyn continue to prop up the first division following a 3-2 defeat at Shrewsbury Juniors Development following a much-improved display.
Jake Williams and James Woolley goals were not enough for the Rhynites as Constantin Ghita netted twice and Callum Routley completed the scoring.
Morda United slipped to a 1-0 defeat at NC United in the under 18s league with the sides set to meet again in the league cup on Sunday.
