MORE archives are being donated to Oswestry School from former staff ahead of its first open day next week.
Preparations for the first Archives Open Day at Oswestry School in Upper Brook Street, which will celebrate its long history, takes place on Saturday, April 13, from 10am to 3pm.
The school's full archive will be open for all visitors to browse through with help and guidance from staff and volunteer archivist David Ward.

Among the items on show day will be photo albums belonging to former staff, including the late Marianne Jones, matron at Holbache House during the early 1990s.
Marianne sadly passed away last year, but her daughter Bethan Porrit has provided some of her mother's photo albums from her time at Oswestry School.
Bethan said: "Mum really did enjoy looking after people and she loved working at Holbache House.
“She was 'mum' to the boarders while they were at school and she kept in touch with many pupils after they left.
“She even went to Hong Kong to attend the wedding of one former pupil."
Visitors will be able to browse through her photo albums, as well as photos belonging to former teacher and house mistress Sue Leonard.
Mrs Leonard was house mistress in Guinevere boarding house from 1990 to 2001 before becoming head of Lower and Middle School from 2001 to 2013.
Mrs Leonard will be at the event on April 13 to talk to visitors about her time at Oswestry School along with former teacher Chris Symons, head of Classics between 1971 and 2006.
Organisers are urging other former staff and pupils to bring along their school days memorabilia to the event to share with others.
Tours of the school will be available to visitors during the event and there will also be a special presentation about David Holbache and the founding of Oswestry School by local historian John Pryce Jones.
The presentation takes place in the school library at 11.30am.
