TRUSTEES of the Oswestry Film Society (OFS) say there could be a surprise announcement on the future of Kinokulture in Arthur Street on Tuesday.

The society will be showing the Cold War classic The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, starring Richard Burton, based on the great John Le Carre novel.

James Bond, from OFS, added that while showing the film, there will be an update on the cinema’s future also announced.

He said: “The iconic Richard Burton stars in the excellent espionage classic The Spy Who Came In From The Cold this Tuesday, April 2, 7.30pm at Kinokulture cinema.

“It is the film version of the John le Carre novel that stands out on the big screen.

“We hope to bring you news on the cinema building's future on the night.

“The OFS's next film is the British comedy The More You Ignore Me on Tuesday, April 16.

The More You Ignore Me is OFS’s second film of April and this comedy-drama, set in the 1980s, is also based on a critically acclaimed book by Jo Brand.

James added: “A teenage girl struggles to relate to her loving mother's mental decline, and causes chaos when she comes up with a plan to reconnect with her.
