POLICE in Oswestry have moved to remind people not to travel down flooded roads in order to save their vehicle from being stranded.
The warning comes after a car driver had to be rescued from Burma Road in Park Hall on Wednesday after trying to navigate the flooded road.
Firefighters and police were called to help the stranded vehicle from a road that has been flooded for much of the 2023/24 winter.

Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: “Remember to take extra care while travelling and never attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
“If you come across a road that is flooded, do not attempt to drive through it.
“Just 30cm of water is enough to float your car.
