ST MARTINS ended a long barren run of defeats with a welcome 3-2 win at Shrewsbury Up and Comers in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League on Saturday.
Kai Hurdman, Woody Norman and Joshua Davies goals proved just enough for the Saints and cancelled replies from Tim Dyas and Stephen Towers.
Ellesmere Rangers also celebrated a welcome three points with a battling 5-4 derby win at Whitchurch Alport 1946.
Roan Huggins and Simon Ward shared the limelight with doubles while Asa Dean completed the scoring for the Swans while Ollie Hailes, Tom Clive, Sam Flory and Joel Browne replied for the Reds.

Morda United slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Ercall Revolution with goals from Marko Chris Ofori and Dan James ensuring the Yellows returned home empty-handed.
Manager Mike O’Reilly remained upbeat despite defeat.
“It was much better from us today,” he said:”We deserved far more than what we got but that’s the way it’s going for us at the moment.
“At the start of the season we probably score five or six but it’s not quite falling for us in both boxes.
“We have a local derby next week but today is a hard one to take.”

Gobowen Celtic’s tough campaign continued with a 6-3 defeat at AMS with Jack Hughes, Aaron Davies and Lewis Jones goals proving scant consolation for Celtic.
Weston Rhyn continue to prop up the first division table following a 4-0 defeat at home to Brown Clee with goals from Matthew Fox, Jacob Griffiths, Dan Griffiths and Joe Markall completing the scoring.

Llanymynech also endured a tough weekend, crashing to a 4-1 defeat at home to Shrewsbury Up and Comers Development with Kyle Grazier, Christopher Marenya, Jacob Owen-Jones and Louis Tudor on target at Station Road.
Morda United Development fell to a 4-3 defeat at home to Wrockwardine Wood Development with Elijah Richards netting twice and an own goal completing their tally while Ridhwan Mustafer, Joseph Rutter, Conor Keenan and Rhys Barnfield strikes sealed Wood’s win.
