SPILLAGE of hydraulic fluid has blocked the A5 causing slow traffic near Nesscliffe this afternoon.
According to the traffic website INRIX, the A5 is blocked both ways as the fluid spilled between the B4396 at the Wolfshead roundabout and the Lower Hampton turn off.
The report read: “A5 both ways blocked, slow traffic due to spillage of hydraulic fluid between B4396 (Wolfshead roundabout) and the Lower Hopton turn off.
“Note change of location – the road was blocked from the A458, however the sensors show that the road is now blocked here.”
Google Maps also shows heavy traffic in the area, at the roundabout.
A post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from National Highways warned drivers to expect "long delays".
The #A5 in #Shropshire is blocked in both directions between the #A458 (#Shrewsbury) and the #B4396 (#Dovaston) due to a recovery truck which has spilt hydraulic fluid across the carriageway.
