A POPULAR pub in Chirk is set to close for three weeks for ‘essential’ maintenance work.
The Poachers in Chirk Road, has announced on social media that they closed their doors on Sunday, January 7 at 5pm.

On a post on Facebook the Marston’s pub wrote: “Due to essential maintenance work, we will be closing our doors on Sunday, January 7, at 5pm.
“We will be welcoming you all back on Saturday January 27.
“See you all then.”
The Poachers is very praised online for its food, drinks and accommodation, with many making rest stops on their journey.
