CHIRK AAA fell back to the foot of the JD Cymru North table with a 2-0 defeat at home to Holywell Town on Saturday.

The sides went into the game following contrasting weeks with the Wellmen bolstering their attacking line up with the signing of ex-Caernarfon Town strike Jamie Breese from fellow JD Cymru North strugglers Llanidloes Town.

In contrast the Colliers bid farewell to a host of players following the opening of the transfer window with Dale Davies departing to Bangor 1876 and Jake Jones departing to join Porthmadog while Ed Baker has joined Llansantffraid.

The Colliers held their own until Adam Williams saw red just before the break with two goals in as many minutes from Breese after the break ensuring three points for Holywell as Chirk returned to the foot of the division.
