THE Gobowen Pantomime Group revealed their long-awaited return to the stage has sold out in 24 hours, but they are now offering more tickets.
The group is set to make a comeback this Christmas after an 18-year hiatus.
They will present a timeless tale, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, at The Working Mens Club, every night from tonight (Thursday, December 21) until Saturday, December 23 at 7pm.

The group have now managed to release an additional 20 tickets per performance, which went on sale last night, Wednesday, December 20.
A spokesperson for the group said: “The group are already looking ahead to next year, with a planned performance of the classic pantomime tale; Cinderella, though like Beauty and the Beast, it will have a very Gobowen inspired twist.
“It’s been a while since the community of Gobowen put on a pantomime, but back when they did, it was a massive success”
Putting on three pantomimes over three years (2003 - 2005) each event saw local audiences filling-out the Working Mens Club night after night.
A group of 43 community members, young and old, have come together to put on a full production of Beauty and the Beast on the Working Mens Club stage.
The team added: “This year it feels like we could all use a bit of community-spirit, fun and magic, maybe more than ever.
“Bringing together a cast of young people & local amateur-performers we want to stage a brand new production of Beauty and the Beast on a well known Gobowen stage.”
The show will be lead by Theatre Maker Justin Cliffe.
Rehearsals have been a huge success and now the cat of 25 is ready to take to the stage, entertaining the public in the lead up to Christmas.
Tickets can be bought online by visiting the Gobowen Pantomime Group or Gobowen Community Group on Facebook or by searching ‘Gobowen Pantomime Group’ on TicketSource.
