SHROPSHIRE Council has announced the revised bus services running over Christmas and New Year period for north Shropshire.

Services will not be running for 53 Arriva bus from Oswestry to Shrewsbury Bus Station on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and also New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Residents in Whitchurch are also to be made aware that the 511/512 Arriva service to Shrewsbury will also not run across the five days.

But the two services will run a Saturday timetable from Wednesday, December 27 to Saturday, December 30.

Meanwhile, services running a normal timetable from Wednesday, December 27 to Saturday, December 30, the 2/2A/2C Arriva Wales service from Oswestry to Wrexham; the 72/72A/72D Oswestry to Llanfyllin, run by Tanat Valley Coaches and the 79/79A service, also from Oswestry to Llanfyllin.

The 74 from Llanfechain to Shrewsbury, the 201, 205 and 208 Wem, Whitchurch and Ellesmere town services, respectively, plus the 400/402/403/404/405 Oswestry town services.

Lakeside Coaches services 449 (Oswestry to Ellesmere) and 501 (Ellesmere to Shrewsbury) plus the Tanat Valley Coaches 576 service from Oswestry to Shrewsbury.

Normal service will resume from Tuesday, January 2.
