OSWESTRY Film Society revealed that their event featuring TV and radio personality Alistair McGowan has sold out, prompting them to initiate a waiting list for potentially returned tickets.

The event is set to take place on Tuesday, December 12, at Kinokulture, in Arthur Street, with an early 7pm start.

There will be a showing of his latest movie, the docu-drama ‘My Name Is Alfred Hitchcock’.

A spokesperson from the film group said: “McGowan will take your questions after our showing of his latest film, the docu-drama My Name Is Alfred Hitchcock - about making the movie and about the great film director himself.

“We will have a waiting list for possible returned tickets after selling out.”

In the new film, lauded by critics, the legendary director's story is recounted from his perspective, with significant moments from his works used to demonstrate his unique style and technique.

However, this narration is not Hitchcock's own, but the work of McGowan, whose impersonation is described as uncannily accurate.

With an intriguing retrospective gaze, 'My Name Is Alfred Hitchcock' offers insight into both the man behind the camera and the enduring legacy of his work.
