TRAFFIC is starting to build up as police are urging people to avoid a main road in and out of Oswestry due to flooding.

Officers from the Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) wrote in a post on X (Twitter) that people should avoid Gobowen Road and Jasmine Gardens.

They said: “Please avoid Gobowen Road due to flooding near to Jasmine Gardens, find an alternative route.”

According to Google Maps traffic is also starting to build up in the area.

This comes after a yellow weather warning for wind has come to effect today.
