A FLOOD warning has been issued for River Vyrnwy near Oswestry, after heavy rainfall in the area.
The Environment Agency (EA) alerted that the warning will come in effect from 3pm today, Saturday, December 9.
It will affect the River Vyrnwy in Melverley, Maesbrook, and Llanymynech, which all neighbour one another.

A spokesperson from the agency said: “River levels are rising at the Llanymynech river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.
“We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Maesbrook.”
They also predict the peak to happen in Llanymynech, with 4.2 to 4.4mm on Saturday evening.
The EA added: “We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Melverley including Melverley to Melverley Green and Ponthen to Melverley roads.
“Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
“We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
“We are closely monitoring the situation.
The agency is urging people to avoid low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
