SHOPPERS braved the wind and rain to be the first customers to set foot inside the new The Range in Oswestry.
The branch opened this morning (Friday, December 8) inside the former Morrisons building between Oswald Road and Beatrice Street.
A spokesperson for The Range said: "The opening weekend was a great success, the people of Oswestry were very welcoming and complimentary about the selection and variety we had on offer.
"We look forward to serving Oswestry well into the new year and beyond."
Oswestry Town Council shared their support on social media, with the Town Mayor, Councillor Olly Rose, having the honour of cutting the ribbon.

A spokesperson for Oswestry Town Council said: “Great to meet the team at the new Range store this morning.
“Lots of excited shoppers were waiting in the rain to be the first to enter and were rewarded with goodie bags.
“We're delighted to welcome this new store, which will be a great addition to our town providing employment, not to mention great Christmas shopping.
“Oswestry Town Mayor, Cllr Olly Rose had the honour of cutting the ribbon and chatted to staff who have worked so hard to get the store ready to open.
