FIRE crews were called out to a village near Oswestry last night following an incident involving an abandoned van on fire.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call about a vehicle fire in Llawr Y Pant, Selattyn, at 11.06pm on Thursday, December 7.
One fire appliance was sent from Oswestry to the scene.

A spokesperson for SFRS said: “Incident involved one abandoned van 50 per cent on fire.
“Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one thermal image camera to put out the blaze.”
A stop message, confirming no further assistance was needed, was sent out to control at 11.52pm.
