THE BOSS of a supermarket chain Iceland has confirmed that a new outlet in Oswestry will not impact on the town's existing store.
With the new The Range opening in Oswald Road, it has been confirmed that Iceland will also open an outlet inside the homewares store.
Richard Walker, managing director of Iceland, said: “It will open at the same time and there will be no impact on the original Iceland.”

Both stores are set to open on Friday, December 8 at 9am, alongside three other branches of The Range in other parts of the country.
The other store openings are in Walkden in Manchester; Leamington Spa; and a new southern flagship located on Chelmsford High Street in Essex.
The Range will also host a Wilko store, having stepped in to acquire the stricken brand, plus its website and intellectual property, during its much-publicised collapse earlier this year.
In a previous statement, a spokesperson from The Range said: “All four stores will open with The Range's signature Christmas department, featuring all the trees, lights and decorations shoppers could ever need to get in the festive spirit.
“All openings will be celebrated with exclusive opening offers and giveaways, to be announced closer to the opening dates.”
