BORDERLAND Rotary Club say they will still be taking cash for the Oswestry Christmas Parade this weekend.
Oswestry Christmas Parade, which starts at 11am on Saturday, December 2, will still see members with buckets ‘as usual’, but QR code payments will also be accepted.
The group said last week that it was gearing up to take card payments, but has now moved to clarify that cash will still be taken too ahead of this weekend's event.
A Borderland spokesman said, “We set up the QR code payment system for the few people who no longer carry cash, but we will be out with buckets as usual and look forward to seeing lots of smiling faces at the parade.
