COMMUTERS are being warned to expect delays after a two-vechile road traffic collision on the A5 at Queen’s Head on Monday afternoon.
Police and firefighters were called to the major road, between Oswestry and Shrewsbury, at around 1.20pm, after the collision.
Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) confirmed the road is partially open and that diversions are in place.

They tweeted: “Road traffic collision on the A5 at Queens Head.
“Road partially closed but diversions are in place so traffic is still moving.
“Use caution though please.”
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) firefighters were sent to the scene from Oswestry, Baschurch and Wellington.
A SFRS spokesman said: "Crews used small gear to deal with the incident.
“Also at the scene of the incident were the land ambulance service and the police.
“Two vehicles were involved in the collision – casualties all now in the care of ambulance.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS Control around 2.10pm to confirm no further assistance was needed.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said four people were treated at the scene.
They said: “We were called at 12.59pm to a road traffic collision involving two cars in Queens Head, Oswestry.
“Five ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival we found four patients.
“From the first car, a man who was the driver and a man and a woman who were passengers.
"From the second car, a woman.
“All four were assessed and had sustained serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
“They received treatment at the scene before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.”
