Newtown 0 TNS 2
TNS pulled nine points clear at the top of the JD Cymru Premier with a professional display to overcome a dogged Newtown on a misty Saturday afternoon in the Severn Valley.
Goals from Josh Daniels and Ben Clark finally broke Newtown's stubborn resolve and ensured the Saints sealed their place in the JD Cymru Premier’s Championship Conference.
The Saints began the brighter and dominated the early proceedings with Ben Clark testing goalkeeper Andy Wycherley after being teed up by Adrian Cieslewicz inside the opening two minutes.
Clark tested Wycherley from the edge of the area after 15 minutes but Newtown weathered the storm and began to work themselves into the game.

Rob Evans fired wide from 25 yards after 30 minutes before Jason Oswell cut inside from the left wing only to fire wide of the far post eight minutes later.
Oswell was helped off the pitch following a heavy landing following an aerial challenge with Blaine Hudson before the break.

The second-half continued to be an evenly contested affair with chances sparse.
The Saints began to impose themselves and went close to breaking the deadlock on the hour when Ryan Brobbel rattled the woodwork with a curling effort from the edge of the area.

The Saints led on the hour with Josh Daniels drilling beyond Wycherley at the second attempt after his initial effort was blocked by Shane Sutton.
Sutton almost levelled 10 minutes later only for his volleyed effort in a crowded area to go straight at Saints' goalkeeper Connor Roberts.
TNS settled the outcome in injury time with Clark curling beyond Wycherley from 25 yards as the Oswestry side celebrated extending their lead at the top of the table.
