DRIVERS have escaped with minor injuries after a crash closed a road near Oswestry last night (Monday, October 31).
West Mercia Police were called out to a two-car collision in Whittington Road near Derwen College in Gobowen.
The road was closed both ways with heavy congestion in the area.
In announcement on the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter, police had asked people to avoid the area.

As of Tuesday morning, a spokesperson from the West Mercia Police force said the drivers injuries were reported to be “minor”.
A representative from West Mercia also confirmed that: “The road has been re-opened.”
