PLANNING permission to display signage at Oswestry’s new Costa Coffee is being sought.
The coffee chain giant has added to the proposal it submitted to Shropshire Council on Monday, October 9 for one internally illuminated roof sign, one non-illuminated banner sign and two internally illuminated totem signs.
Last week, an application form, location plan and site plan were all added to the proposal for the new drive-thru development off Shrewsbury Road.

The application is another step towards the coffee shop joining McDonald’s on the former Smithfield site, near Morrisons, after a number of conditions were discharged by Shropshire Council last summer.
A spokesman for Costa Coffee has previously said that an opening ‘before the end of the year’ is the target for the company.
