OSWESTRY Town Councillors is endorsing Qube's proposal to set up a warm room in Oswestry, offering crucial assistance during the colder months.
In the autumn of 2022, the council advocated for the creation of warm rooms in the town.
Oswestry benefitted from spaces coordinated by a robust network of the council's partners.

Now Qube has approached the council seeking its backing to set up a warm room within its premises in Oswestry - and at a meeting on Wednesday (October 12) the council backed the plans.
Councillor Les Maguire brought forward the motion and argued: “I think we should support this – and with what’s going on at the minute, the cost of living increasing, it’s difficult for the public to heat their houses so the council should provide some place for people to keep warm.”
Alongside the space Qube is also aiming to provide advice on why socialising and finding a craft such as knitting or crochet is great for mental health and well-being, together with a mental health nurse.
The motion was passed unanimously.
