AN OSWESTRY art studio is collaborating with a high street store’s homeware range to inspire wellbeing through art and design to create a new collection.
Designs in Mind, tucked away in Cross Street, is partnering up with Sainsbury’s Habitat to create a homeware collection based on 'A Happy Home'.
The studio in Oswestry is where adults living with mental health challenges work together on ambitious, experimental art and design projects.

Jo Davis, Founder of Designs in Mind, said: “Our collaboration with Habitat has fitted well with Designs in Mind’s ethos of ‘making with purpose’.
“We’re incredibly proud that we’ve been able to translate our ethos into objects that we all use in our homes.
“Making and designing is a constant process of decision making, it is an absorbing and healing process outside the questions and struggles we might be facing in our lives.
“We like to think that every product is injected with a small dose of the happiness and mindfulness that our members channelled in our studio during the design process.”
Members of the Oswestry studio worked closely with Habitat's design team to curate a unique collection of designs to infuse people's living spaces with happiness and promote overall well-being that is now been launched in Sainsbury's across the country.
The result is a vibrant series of patterns and prints, each reflecting the individual personality and spirit of its creator, thoughtfully integrated into Habitat's products.
The collective goal of this collection is to help people weave the essence of wellness into their living spaces.
