THE RANGE has confirmed the date for the opening of its new Oswestry shop – and it'll be just in time for Christmas.
Shropshire Council confirmed at the beginning of the month that the major national retailer would be taking over the former Morrisons building between Oswald Road and Beatrice Street.
Now officials for the chain have confirmed that they will be opening in Oswestry on Friday, December 8, alongside three other shops in other parts of the country.

A spokesperson for The Range said: “All four stores will open with The Range's signature Christmas department, featuring all the trees, lights and decorations shoppers could ever need to get in the festive spirit.
“All openings will be celebrated with exclusive opening offers and giveaways, to be announced closer to the opening dates.”
In a previous statement Mark Jones, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for growth and regeneration, said he was delighted that The Range would be coming to Oswestry.
He noted that the store would be a major boost for the Oswestry area.

Duncan Kerr, local Shropshire Councillor for Oswestry South, also welcomed the new addition previously, saying: “This is brilliant news and shows that businesses have confidence in Oswestry.
“Let’s hope that this can be a spur to the rejuvenation of the Cambrian Railway Building and this whole area of the town.”
The other store openings are in Walkden in Manchester; Leamington Spa; and also the new southern flagship located on Chelmsford High Street in Essex.
