AN OSWESTRY pub is again celebrating after it won a place in the prestigious CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the seventh year running.
Grace Goodlan and husband Duncan Borrowman run the Bailey Head pub in Oswestry’s Bailey Head, and are one of the 4,500 pubs listed in the prestigious guide independently selected by CAMRA volunteers.
Pubs around the country were selected based on the quality of brews sold at the bar which, according to Grace and Duncan, means ‘inclusion can never be bought or sold’.

Grace said; "It is great to be included in the Good Beer Guide again and we know that it brings many beer tourists to us and as a result to Oswestry.
“Duncan and I are absolutely delighted to be in the Guide again."
Duncan added: "It is very appropriate that the West Midlands launch of the Good Beer Guide is happening at Shrewsbury Beer Festival, as we are one of the festival sponsors and gave our expertise and services cleaning all 61 beer lines for the bar handpulls."
The Bailey Head has won a place in the guide every year since it was opened by the husband and wife team in 2016.
The pub has also won Shrewsbury and West Shropshire CAMRA Market Towns Pub of the Year every Year and is currently overall Pub of The Year for Shrewsbury and West Shropshire.
This year's guide has an iconic cover featuring Eddie, the mascot for the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden and a forward by their lead singer Bruce Dickinson.
Ellesmere’s The White Hart is a first-time entrant into the guide, joining Stonehouse Brewery based in Weston.
And over the border in Llanfyllin, the 17th century Cain Valley Hotel also features in the guide for the first time.
