ORGANISERS of a Macmillan Coffee Morning in Oswestry last week have thanked everyone how helped them raise hundreds of pounds.
The fundraiser was held a week ahead of the national event - which will take place on Friday, September 29 - at Viscount Bridgeman Court, in Queen Elizabeth Drive, a retirement home.
With cakes, prizes and, of course, plenty of coffee, the day proved to be hugely popular among all those who attended and helped organisers raise more than £600 for the cancer charity.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “Our Macmillan Coffee Morning that we again organised at Viscount Bridgeman Court, Oswestry was on Friday, September 22.
“With cakes, drinks, raffles, games and our super all-brand new tombola prizes, we raised a fantastic sum of more than £600 for the charity.

“We would like to say a massive thank you to all who supported us, those who visited us on the day, those who baked, donated prizes and gave cash donations.
“It was all very much appreciated for a very worthwhile cause.
