Cardiff Met 1 TNS 5
TNS made light work of Cardiff Met at Cyncoed on Friday night.
New signing Brad Young starred with a double to break his league duck while strikes from Jordan Williams, Ben Clark and Ryan Brobbel completed the drubbing.
Lewis Rees lashed wide for the hosts before Blaine Hudson headed onto the bar for the Saints during the opening exchanges.
The Saints led after 16 minutes with Williams firing home from the edge of the penalty area and just eight minutes later he turned provider as ex-Aston Villa forward Young struck.
Young completed his double just moments later with a finish under goalkeeper Alex Lang.
The hosts needed to muster a response and were back in the game after 34 minutes with Matthew Chubb following up to net after goalkeeper Connor Roberts could only parry an effort from Elliot Evans.

The Saints had to be patient to regain their momentum after the break but still threatened with a speculative lobbed effort from Young going just wide on the hour.
It was all over with 20 minutes remaining with Ben Clark following up after Lang spilled a rasping effort from Jordan Williams to ensure no way back for the Archers.
The hosts almost snatched a goal with eight minutes left on the clock only for Roberts to push Elliot Evans’ effort around the post.
Evans saw red moments later with the Saints capitalising from the penalty spot as Brobbel stepped up to convert as the Oswestry side extended their lead at the top of the table to five points.
