BORDERLAND Rotary Club has announced the annual Oswestry Christmas Parade is already in the planning stages - and has urged those eager to participate to start considering their entries now.
The event is set to take place on Saturday, December 2, and is one of the highlights of the year raising thousands of pounds for local charities
Jonathan Jones, who has been organizing the parade on behalf of the Borderland Rotary Club in collaboration with Oswestry Town Council for over a decade, emphasized the importance of early preparations.

He said: “Yes, it’s nice to get surprises at Christmas but when you are part of a team organising one of the biggest yuletide community events in Shropshire, surprises are the last thing you want.
“That’s why I’d like to hear from any groups, schools, clubs, or businesses that want to be involved as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling – and I promise I won’t use the word Christmas again until much nearer the time.”
