Eastenders legend and Bafta-winning documentary maker Ross Kemp is set to appear in Oswestry later this year, a local bookshop has announced.
Kemp, best known as the soap hardman Grant Mitchell, will be appearing at the Holroyd Theatre at 7.30pm on September 26.
Having lived a rich and varied life full of adventure and drama from Albert Square to Afghanistan, Ross is ready to share tales of his remarkable life.
"These are the stories of some of the things that have happened to me: the funny things, the scary things, the exciting things: the things that have made me who I am," he said.

"I don’t want to start at the beginning and tell them in chronological order because that’s not the way my brain works.
"And this certainly isn’t going to be one of those books of life lessons. I’ve always been passionate about finding and telling stories. And now, for the first time, here are mine."
His new book, titled Take Nothing for Granted, is a fascinating snapshot of a life lived to the full.
Tickets cost £20, to include a signed copy of Take Nothing for Granted, or £30 for two with one signed copy of the book.
