A MOTORCYCLIST died in a road traffic collision near Ellesmere because he did not see a turning agricultural vehicle, a coroner has ruled.
Steven Craig Ward, 60, died on the A528 close to Whitemere, between Ellesmere and Shrewsbury, on April 26 this year.
Shropshire coroner John Ellery told the inquest into his death on Thursday, August 3 that Mr Ward had been riding his Triumph motorcycle out of the town south towards Shrewsbury.
Mr Ward, from Whitchurch, had been at the back of a small line of cars that had slowed down to wait for two farm vehicles, which had been in convoy, to turn right at a crossroads.

The court heard that Mr Ward had safely overtaken a coach and a car driven by Carol Hixon with her husband Brent in the passenger seat.
However, he then tried to overtake an Old Holland tractor that was being driven by Terence Sumnall, who had indicated to turn right.
As he overtook the tractor, he did not see the indication of the Caterpillar front-loading agricultural vehicle being driven by Wayne Sumnall and collided with it as it turned at crossroads.
A post-mortem revealed that he had been left with multiple traumatic injuries, which was given as the cause of death, and he was treated without success at the scene.
Mr Ellery recorded a conclusion of road traffic collision.
