FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Oswestry town centre on Sunday (July 30) to help rescue an animal.
The town crew attended The Cross after a cat had become stuck under the bonnet of a car.
It is unclear how the feline became trapped or how it was following the ordeal.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Last night Oswestry firefighters responded to a heartwarming call for help.
"We received reports of a young distressed cat trapped in the engine compartment of an abandoned black Audi.
"Upon arrival, our crew gained access to the engine compartment, but the frightened cat refused to come out.
"Thankfully, the Shropshire Council's animal welfare unit arrived and the lady from their team skillfully coaxed the cat out with some tasty treats."
The stop message to say no further assistance was needed came in at 10.46pm.
