ONE of the most popular fast-food eateries in Oswestry town centre has closed permanently.
Subway, on The Cross, has been closed for around a week, with many town residents unsure whether it was for a refurbishment.
However, a spokesman for the company has confirmed that the franchised branch is now permanently closed.

They said: “We can confirm that the Subway restaurant in Oswestry, north Shropshire is now closed.
“We will continue to seek new opportunities in the north Shropshire region and look forward to continuing to provide great food and service to the community.”
The nearest Subway for Oswestry is at the service station in Mile End, on the A5/A483.
