HECTOR’S Greyhound Rescue received a significant £3,000 boost following the success of its annual dog show.
The event, held at the Oswestry Showground, helped fundraise a considerable amount to support the charity, operating in Wales and Shropshire, in rescuing and rehabilitating dogs.
Hayley Bradley, the founder of Hector's Greyhound Rescue, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support, especially considering the challenging economic climate.

She said: “ I know it's tough times for a lot of people - thank you so much for helping our dogs and our work.”
Dog owners and their furry companions of all breeds gathered at the showground to explore various stalls and participate in the entertaining dog show categories.
The lively atmosphere and enthusiastic participation contributed to the event's success.
Highlighting the ongoing demand for their services, Hayley shared that just before the show, four greyhounds in need of rescue were welcomed into the care of Hector's.
One of the dogs had a neglected broken hock, emphasizing the continuous need for assistance and care for vulnerable animals.
Our work never ends," she added. "We will always welcome dogs who need our help."
