A WOMAN has died following an incident at Chirk Aqueduct, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the incident this morning (Friday, June 16).
Police said surrounding paths were closed and urged people to avoid the area.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said on Friday afternoon: "We were called shortly before 8am today to a concern for safety incident on Chirk Aqueduct.
"Officers attended the scene, where a woman sadly died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and her family, and the Coroner’s Office, have been informed."
