A DRIVER from Oswestry who was caught nearly four times the legal drug driving limit has been banned for 12 months.
Jamie Watkiss, 36 and of Unicorn Road, appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday after he recorded a score of seven micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (cannabis), per litre of blood following his arrest in January this year.
The legal limit for drugs is 2mg.

Watkiss was stopped by police in his Astra on January 4 returning home after working overtime in his job as a warehouse operative.
He provided a positive roadside saliva test and then gave a further positive blood test.
Watkiss also produced references and a letter of apology for magistrates who heard that he is seeking treatment for cannabis addiction and wants to set a good example for his children.
Magistrates gave him a mandatory 12-month driving ban but reduced his fine from £553 to £330 for his early guilty plea, while he was ordered to pay costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £148.
