THE MP for North Shropshire has thanked visitors for making her first summer tour event near Oswestry a success.
Helen Morgan said she was met with an enthusiastic response on the first stop in Trefonen last week, and has also confirmed the details of her next event.
The North Shropshire MP’s second Summer Tour started at Trefonen Village Hall on Friday and the event was a huge success, with residents keen to meet their local MP and raise local issues big and small – from the state of the NHS to problems with local roads.
She said: “It is great to be off to a fantastic start with the summer tour this year.
“Last year we visited over a dozen villages and the main towns in the constituency, and this year we are planning to meet even more people.

“Representing an area as vast as north Shropshire is a great privilege, but also comes with its challenges.
“Being able to hear from local people on what they want their MP to be doing is vital and means I can represent our area as best I can.
“This week we’re in Whixall at the Social Centre between 4pm-5pm on Thursday and I’m looking forward to meeting many more local residents.
“Do come along if you live in the area and fancy a quick chat.”
Around 60 residents attended during the hour that Mrs Morgan was at the hall to hear their views.
