A SPECIALIST children’s physiotherapy centre near Oswestry will be welcoming Louise Minchin to host a talk to raise funds for the cause.

The Movement Centre is acquainted with the TV presenter from when she took part in other local charity-based bike races.

Curtis Langley, fundraising officer, explained that Louise will talk about her new book, ‘Fearless: Adventures with extraordinary women’.

He said: “She is friends with our trustees here at the Centre, and she took part in one of the bike races here in town.

“We the kept in touch with her and we asked her to do the talk and she kindly said yes.

“Her newly launched book will be the topic of the evening, and she will talk all about her adventures.”

Louise will be available for a Q&A following her talk, and there's also a chance for photographs and the signing of her new book.

The event is set to take place at Aico, who will be providing their auditorium as a place for the evening to unfold.

Mr Langley also added a special thank you to Adrenaline Sporting Events for the team's support in organising this event, to Henstone Distillery for providing the welcome drinks, to Aico, and also to Booka Bookshop for attending to sell books on the night.

“Of course, a big thank you to Louise for making the time” he added.

The evening is set to start at 6.15pm with welcome drinks, while the talk will commence about an hour later.

The prices for the tickets start at £17.50 for general admission only and does not include a signed book.

The next price is £29.50 which also includes a signed copy of Fearless, and a welcome drink of gin and tonic or a tonic.
