- Today (Wednesday, May 3) we enter day eight of the Rebecca Steer murder trial at Stafford Crown Court.
- Yesterday saw the jury begin its deliberations following seven days of arguments from the prosecution and defence. They are expected to continue their deliberations from 10.30am.
- Stephen McHugh, 28, from Park Hall near Oswestry, denies murdering the 22-year-old from Llanymynech, in October last year, in Oswestry. However, he has admitted her manslaughter which was rejected by the Crown.
- He also denies the GBH of Kyle Roberts in the same incident, but has admitted ABH which again was rejected by the Crown.
