FIREFIGHTERS were called after it was thought a car had caught fire early on Friday (April 28) morning.
The incident on the A5 at Oswestry happened shortly before 7am and saw one crew from the town's fire station in attendance.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This incident involved one private saloon vehicle with a cab full of smoke.
"Crews made the vehicle safe."
The stop call to say no further assistance was needed came in at 7.14am.
There were no reports of the incident affecting traffic this morning.
