WEST Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision on the A528 near Ellesmere in which a motorcyclist died.
The crash happened on the A528 between Cockshutt and Ellesmere at around 11.45am on Wednesday, April 26 and involved a yellow Caterpillar Lift Truck and a white Triumph motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 60-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

PC Richard Owen, from the Operations Policing unit, said “First and foremost our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who died.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dash-cam footage which may help with the investigation to call me on 101 extension 770 2273 or by emailing richard.owen@westmercia.police.uk.”
The road was closed for much of the day to allow for police investigations but reopened at around 7.30pm.
