A FAULTY air compressor caused a fire in Oswestry, which led to a call out to fire crews this morning (April 23).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call at 8.17am reporting a fire in Salop Road.

A fire appliance from the town and one from Ellesmere were mobilise at the scene.
A spokesperson from SFRS said: “This incident was caused by a faulty air compressor which caused heavy smoke logging.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus, one main jet, one covering jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
“An Operations officer was also in attendance.”
A stop call confirming no further assistance was needed was sent to control at 9.02am.
