AN ELLESMERE greyhound owner is hoping for a successful spring.
Gary Peel bought a greyhound from Ireland last year and named him Billy's Lad after his son.
The three-year-old dog is trained by Jooles Slater, one of Britain's leading coaches, and has already tasted success, winning three races, two at Monmore in Wolverhampton and one race at Towcester.

The next big race in the calendar is the 2023 derby on Sunday, April 2 with a £10k first prize in Towcester and the big event at the same course the following month when top prize will secure £175k for the winner.
Father and son, of Shadeoak Stud, near Ellesmere, are now preparing Billy's Lad for a busy month.
