TWO burglaries in pubs around Oswestry may be linked, police have said.
Officers from West Mercia Police say that the Poachers Pocket, near the Gledrid roundabout, and the Ye Olde Boot in Whittington, both reported break-ins on Wednesday, March 15.
PCSO David Hughes, from Oswestry Rural North Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), said the incidents – which happened within 45 minutes of each other – may be linked and they are looking for up to three people in connection.
“We've had two reports of burglary from public houses on our area,” he said.
“Persons have gained access to the residential areas and it is believed that there is up to three persons involved.
“At 8.42pm we received a call from the Poachers Pocket in Gledrid with two sets of car keys and cash taken.

“Ye Olde Boot, Whittington informed us at 9.26pm that access was gained into the living area via a window which the suspects broke.
“There is a possibility that these incidents are linked.”
