FIREFIGHTERS from near Oswestry had to help a person out of a six-foot trench on Monday afternoon.
One crew from Baschurch was sent to Tedsmore, near West Felton close to Oswestry, at around 2pm on Monday afternoon.
Medical professionals, believed to be from West Midlands Ambulance Service, were already on the scene and according to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) firefighters were asked to help rescue the person from a trench.
A SFRS spokesman said: "Fire service personnel assisted ambulance crews in lifting casualty from a trench, approximately 6ft.
"The casualty left in care of ambulance staff."
A stop message was sent to SFRS control shortly before 3.20pm to confirm that no further assistance was necessary.
