A POPULAR tourist attraction near Oswestry will be closed for the day today (Monday, March 13) due to strong winds.
Chirk Castle confirmed on social media that it would closed because of the high winds that have been forecast.
However, the National Trust property will reopen as soon as possible.

The site was forced to close last week because of the heavy snow and reopened on Sunday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind across part of the Midlands, across towards the East and South, however, it stops just short of north Shropshire and Wales.

But a yellow warning for snow and ice is in place across Oswestry, Chirk, Ellesmere and Llanfyllin until 10am tomorrow (Tuesday).
